Community Employment

Community Employment is designed to help unemployed people to get back into the workforce by working and training in the community. Supplementing their work experience and on-the-job training, CE participants are able to avail of training and development opportunities.

The training provided through Community Employment is delivered within the FETAC Quality Assurance framework. On completion, participants are supported to progress to employment and/or further training and education.

There are certain eligibility criteria you must meet to be able to participate on Community Employment. To check whether or not you are able to apply, please call into your local DSP Community Services Officer. For further information, please visit http://www.fas.ie

Community Employment at CAFTA:

CAFTA employ a total of 21 C.E participants who are essential to the effective and efficient running of the Sillogue Neighbourhood Centre and the outreach services and programmes we support across the community of Ballymun.

C.E participants work in the following outreach locations:
Sillogue Neighbourhood Centre
Our Lady's Nursery

Poppintree Early Education Centre

BRYR (Ballymun Regional Youth Resource)

Ashling Project
Northside Homecare - Marewood Court

Participants work in a variety of roles including:
Accounts Assistant
Administration/Reception
Caretaker

Catering Assistant 
Housekeeper
Information Provider
Payroll Assistant
Project Workers
